
Summary:
This book helps to know the geotechnical properties of Kathmandu clay, its composition, grain size distribution, consolidation characteristics and swelling potential. The author has also put forward some empirical relations to define clay properties of Kathmandu clay. The results are based on Laboratories tests of 49 samples from inside the Kathmandu Valley, Central Nepal. The laboratories test include atterberg limit test, hydrometer test, Oedometer test, X-Ray Diffraction test, Moisture content test, Specific gravity test and So on.
