Summary:
Synthetic Peptides based ELISA involves use of proteins that are critically involed in virulence of Listeria. This ELISA can be used as an alternative for native indirect LLO based ELISA as these peptides are immunodominant and the chances of crossreactivity are highly reduced. It serves as an ideal cum specific marker for ELISA based serodiagnosis of listeric infection in ovine populations and can be used under field conditions in the form of kits available commercially.
