This book includes various concepts of organizational power dynamics and how leaders exercise different forms of power in an organization to influence their subordinates. This text further presents some antithesis from the existing literature and explains the contemporary elements of power. Unlike other books, this text takes into account the diverse concepts of power and how these forms of organization powers tend to vary vertically and horizontally. This book further includes the review of vast literature in the field of power and influence and also presents the empirical outlook of the same. Further, this book would help the organizations to understand the focus areas that can bring the positive changes in the employee’s overall workplace efficiency. This is perhaps the first text that has scientifically attempted to integrate the different bases of power and analyzed the effective use of these tactics in organizations.
