
Summary:
Rice is world's second most important cereal crop following only corn based on production volume.The aim of this Research is to explore the marketing strategies of rice exporters in Punjab. In the present research, researcher emphasize on four marketing strategies that is product strategies, pricing strategies, promotion strategies and distribution strategies. The present study shows that rice exporting units in India have used different methods of fixing the price, product has to compete not only with the price but also with the quality of the rice, rice exporting units preferred to receive order directly by foreign buyers, rice exporting firms sell their product directly to consumer or through intermediaries.
