The challenges face in the 21st century are greater than those faced in the last century. Agriculture is called up on to produce more food and feed, more fuel and more industrial row materials. Modern plant breeding used in vitro, molecular and transgenic approaches with conventional breeding will solve Problems and will play a key role in achieving those goals.Identification, isolation and functional analysis of targeted and important genes that are resistant to abiotic and biotic stress helps to develop new cultivars to boost production and productivity in the targeted environment.
Yetsedaw Aynewa Demozie
Mr.Yetsedaw Aynewa has obtained his MSc Degree in plant breeding at Bahir Dar University in 2011. Since then he has worked in the field of agronomy, barley research and now working in research associate position at ICARDA- Ethiopia office.
