Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors are used to treat the hypertension. The use of lactic acid bacteria make them a suitable food supplement as a neutraceutical for treating cardiovascular related diseases. The milk with lactic acid bacteria has a high antioxidant, antimicrobial and also anti cancer activity in it which can surely act as an alternative remedy. The cheese and yogurt produced from this milk also as more inhibitory activity in it. This can be used in treatment in the mere future.
Dr.B.Nandhini currently is working as an assistant professor in the department of microbiology at Sri Krishna Arts and Science College. Her area of interest is industrial microbiology and genetics. She was a JRF for a period of three years. She completed her PhD in 2013.
