Now-a-days, common people are much aware about the weather and climate of their locality. From the time immemorial, people are enthusiastic about their weather situations which affected their agriculture, animal husbandry, production systems and health system as a whole. The first section of this book deals in the general weather and climatic characteristics of Purulia, Birbhum and Bankura districts of West Bengal. Other sections discuss trend of rainfall, meteorological drought and scientific use of natural resource. If this text helps the students, teachers and researchers to some extent, I will be successful.
