An effort has been made to demonstrate the onset data associated with the study area, with the help of which, authors find it suitable enough to approximate the method adopted to assess the groundwater potential of an area in Delhi NCR region. Authors tried to elaborate an approach to estimate or identify the existing water potential of any catchment area using Geophysical technique in order to present a more practical method to be applied in the field. Chapters in this book deals specifically with the Electrical Resistivity method, which was carried out for the exploration of groundwater potential and water-bearing strata at Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) campus, so as to deal with the problems of water scarcity in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The objective of the study was accomplished with substantial findings which further corroborate the effectiveness of the approach adopted for groundwater exploration.
Er. Ashhad Imam is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at SHUATS, Allahabad. He possesses a vast experience in the field of empirical modelling and optimization using AI Techniques, Regression Analysis and has sound expertise in the field of Geophysical Investigation to assess groundwater potential.
