Barium titanate (BaTiO3) as a ferroelectric and piezoelectric ceramics occupies an important part of the electroceramic business. This makes it an interesting subject of research and development for more than seven decades. In this book a detailed study concerning the formation of BaTiO3 perovskite phase is given as well as the formation reaction kinetics, thermodynamics and phase formation mechanisms.
