Bagale Hills Forest Reserve, is an important ecological resource which lies between latitude 9o 11’ and 9oN and longitude 12o 20’ and 12o 30’ E in North East Nigeria. The link among environmental stress, ecosystem instability and anthropogenic activities as they affect depletion of the flora in this ecosystem has not been established hence leading to a dearth of information. This book highlights variations in forest structure, floral diversity and species association among forest fragments at various altitudes in this forest reserve.Information derived from such studies is valuable in forest management, developments, planning and policy formulation.
