Summary:

The present study involves the synthesis of electrocatalyst material which has low onset potential for H2O oxidation and good stability in a given condition. The method used for water splitting electrocatalyst ie Colloidal method having good result, some of the catalyst to give onset potential of 1.55 5 [RHE] (coote, niox). Colloidal solutions of Cu, Co, Fe and Ni are prepared by taking 0.1M aqueous solution and adding controlled amount of buffer solution. Of the colloid solution are above metal drop casted on FTO (30 μL). The 105 is performed at 20mV / s to study the catalytic properties proving excellent oxidation potential. The best conditions like pH in borate buffer is 9.5, in phosphate buffer at 7.2, with NaOH carbonate pH is 11.1 and the pH is 13. Some metal oxides such as Co, Ni oxide and oxide give onset potential at 1.55 V.
